Who We Are

STEA Mentorship Foundation

Is a registered Community-Based Organization (CBO) based in Nabusugwe, Mukono, Uganda. Founded by Executive Director and Program Manager Stella Magomu, STEA Mentorship Foundation has spent the past two years working at the grassroots level to empower adolescent girls, youth, and young women with the knowledge, confidence, and opportunities they need to shape a better future.

Our approach is rooted in community engagement, guided by evidence-based practices, and supported by strong local networks. As proud members of the CEDOVIP Referral Network, we actively contribute to the wider movement for social justice and community well-being.

Why we Exist!

Rural communities in Uganda face persistent challenges around adolescent reproductive health, school dropout due to early pregnancies, limited WASH facilities, and gender-based stigma.

STEA Mentorship Foundation was founded to address these challenges through sustainable, locally driven, and girl-centered solutions.

We believe in the power of informed girls, empowered youth, and engaged communities to drive change—from within.

Reached over 200 girls in 5 rural primary schools with menstrual health education and reusable sanitary pad demonstrations.

Built referral networks with health workers, schools, VHTs, legal and psychosocial support groups.

Partnered with communities across Goma Division, including Jinja Misindye, Natooko, Nabusugwe, Kyesereka, and surrounding areas.

Trained 25 peer ambassadors (5 per school) under supervision of senior women teachers.

Advocated for school-based "girls’ spaces" to ensure ongoing mentorship and SRHR sessions.

Our Team

Our team is made up of experienced educators, community mobilizers, health advocates, peer mentors, and volunteers who share a common goal: to inspire hope, build resilience, and transform lives.
